Nile Valley Books has been serving the community since 1999 and is owned by Nohsakhere.

Nile Valley Books has been a mainstay in the Toronto literary scene and present at cultural events around the city for the past 35 years. Nohsakhere began vending at cultural events in Toronto and then opened Nile Valley Books in the east end of Toronto in the Woodbine and Gerrard / Upper Beaches area.

Nohsakhere has committed his life to ensure that children have access to books and literature that accurately reflect their authentic and proud histories. His books can be found in dozens of schools and early learning centers in the GTA.

Known for its afro-centric feel, knowledgeable staff, and excellent recommendations, Nile Valley Books is a must-shop destination – both online and in-person.
